Plain-language summary
We are a small web development agency in Arizona. We collect the information you give us when you contact us, request an audit, or fill out our quote quiz. We use it to reply to you and deliver work. We do not sell it, do not run advertising trackers on this site, and do not share it with anyone outside the vendors named below.
1. Who we are
Mesquite Development LLC ("Mesquite Dev", "we", "us") operates mesquitedev.com.
Postal: Buckeye, Arizona 85326, United States.
Privacy contact: freddie@mesquitedev.com.
2. Information we collect
When you use the site, we may collect:
- Identifiers and contact data you submit through forms: business name, your name, email, phone, project details, and any small business discount request.
- Audit input on the free SEO audit page: the website URL you ask us to scan, plus your email so we can send a follow-up.
- Booking data if you use the Cal.com booking embed: the information you provide directly to Cal.com (name, email, time slot, optional notes).
- Server access logs from our hosting provider (Cloudflare). These contain IP addresses, request paths, user agents, and timestamps, kept briefly for security and abuse prevention.
- Aggregated usage events such as which step of the quote quiz you reach. These events are sent to our own Cloudflare Worker and are not tied to a persistent identifier on your device.
- Payment and order data when you pay a deposit or consultation fee. Our payment processor, Stripe, collects your card details directly; we receive a record of the transaction (amount, status, your email, and the project details), never your full card number.
- Project files you upload when starting a paid project, such as logos, photos, screenshots, or reference images. These are stored with our hosting provider (Cloudflare R2) and deleted after 90 days.
We do not run third-party analytics or advertising pixels on this site. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
3. How we use information
- To respond to inquiries, send quotes, and deliver the services you ask for.
- To process payments and start the paid projects you order.
- To send you a one-time follow-up with the results of any free audit you request.
- To prevent abuse (bot protection via Cloudflare Turnstile, rate limiting).
- To comply with legal obligations and tax recordkeeping.
We do not use your information for behavioral advertising, profiling that produces legal effects, or any automated decision making.
4. Who we share information with
We only share information with the service providers that help us operate the site, each acting under written contract on our behalf:
- Cloudflare, Inc. (United States): hosting, CDN, bot protection (Turnstile), email routing, and file storage (R2) for project files you upload.
- Stripe, Inc. (United States): payment processing for deposits and consultation fees. Stripe collects and processes your card details directly under its own privacy policy; we never receive or store your full card number.
- Cal.com, Inc. (United States): calendar and booking widget, used only when you open the "Book a call" embed.
- Resend, Inc. (United States): transactional email delivery for contact form and audit follow-ups.
- Google PageSpeed Insights API (United States): runs the technical scan when you request a free SEO audit. We send the URL you provide; no personal data goes to Google.
- Whispering Dragons LLC (Arizona, United States): when you send us a contact form inquiry about IT, security, or managed services, we may forward your name, contact info, and a summary of your message to Whispering Dragons so they can follow up directly. Whispering Dragons is our referral partner for IT and security work; no fees flow between us. They handle your information under their own privacy practices.
We may also share information if required by law, to protect rights or safety, or in connection with a business transfer. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law.
5. International transfers
All of the vendors named above process data in the United States. If you visit from the EU, UK, or Canada, your information will be transferred to the United States. For transfers from the EU, UK, and Switzerland, our vendors rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable. You can request more information about safeguards by emailing the contact above.
6. How long we keep it
- Inquiries that do not turn into a project: up to 24 months after last contact, then deleted.
- Active client records, payment, and order data: up to 7 years for tax and legal recordkeeping.
- Uploaded project files: deleted 90 days after upload.
- Server access logs: typically 30 days.
- Aggregated usage events: up to 12 months in our own analytics store.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have some or all of these rights:
- All users: ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, and opt out of any marketing email.
- California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon, Utah, and other US state residents: rights to know, delete, correct, port, opt out of "sale" and "sharing" as those terms are defined, opt out of targeted advertising and profiling for significant decisions, limit use of sensitive personal information, and not be discriminated against for using your rights.
- EU, UK, EEA, and Swiss residents: rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, the right to withdraw consent, and the right to complain to your supervisory authority.
- Canadian residents: rights of access and correction under PIPEDA and provincial laws.
To exercise any of these rights, email freddie@mesquitedev.com. We respond within 45 days. We will not require you to create an account.
8. Do not sell or share
Mesquite Development does not sell personal information for money. We also do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals if your browser sends one, and we will continue to do so if our practices ever change.
To submit any privacy request, email freddie@mesquitedev.com.
9. Cookies and similar technologies
This site does not set advertising or analytics cookies. We use Cloudflare Turnstile to protect our forms from automated abuse; Turnstile may set a short-lived cookie that is strictly necessary for that function. Cal.com sets its own cookies if you interact with the booking widget, governed by Cal.com's privacy policy.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including TLS in transit, HTTP Strict Transport Security, encryption at rest at our vendors, and access controls. No system is perfect, and we do not guarantee absolute security. If we learn of a breach affecting your information, we will notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by law.
11. Children
The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided information to us, email the contact above and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be highlighted on this page; continued use of the site after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
